USCM VIDEO GOODNESS  
I got the video to co-operate to an acceptable level (despite previous successful testing, the video editing software decided not to work with the original high quality footage so I had to improvise) and though this is not the official video from the Colonial Marines, it's pretty cool regardless.

You'll see in the video how I mounted the video camera on top of the Pulse Rifle.

The highlight of the show was definitely wookiemart's Power Loader from the Aliens film ABSOFREAKINLUTELYAWESOME! :)

Enjoy the video and please send photos to email@neoengel.com, I neglected to get pics of my costume but got some of others but the tried and true digital camera messed up.

Thanks again to all who warmly welcomed me and offered support and complimented the outfit, glad I brought a few smiles to faces :)

EDIT - yes I discovered indeed how bright those LEDs on my headset and shoulder are and will be more careful in the future :)

A little sad news, though I managed to clean the battery acid away with some baking soda but the light screen on the tricorder only worked twice on sunday and hasn't worked since. I wonder if the bulb is dead or whatnot. I tried to take it apart to find out but no real luck.

Other than that thought it was great meeting you! Loved the costume and the video.

Aww crap, because I made sure it was working before I set out :( This makes me a sad panda, though the contacts inside might be damp as I noticed it was a bit humid the last little while and that may have been a factor :(

It was great to finally meet you and your friend too, wish I had more time just to chill out and chat but I think I over extended myself for places to be even for just one day and just going as an attendee ;) Perhaps a meetup in the future, glad you liked the video, all I need to do is find pics of my costume online :)

yeah next time we will have to hang out more for sure!

i'm hoping one day the light will just work again. i'm sure it just has to be changed, although i have no idea how one would change a bulb inside a toy etc. its probably impossible hehe

is ok i I usually get away without having to acknowledge I'm getting older as it's usually at the same time as the con and people are running around crazylike - last year was the ultimate on that and lasted enough for a while for me :)
